William Warren Taylor

William “Bill” Warren Taylor, 88, was called home to be with his Lord on February 8, 2024. He was born on October 1, 1935, in Marked Tree, Arkansas, the son of William Edgar Taylor and Mary Frances Warren Taylor.

Bill was drafted into the Army in 1955, serving during the Korean conflict. Serving his country and the freedoms we enjoy were very important parts of his life. He has been a Master Mason for 52 years, being a member of the James Burgess Masonic Lodge in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Fellowship in Cumby.

Bill moved to Dallas, Texas in 1957. He worked as an auto mechanic for Vaughn Automotive before later forming Bill Taylor Automotive in Dallas. He worked as an auto mechanic, specializing in transmissions and air conditioning for almost fifty years. He retired in 1998, moving to Cumby, Texas. Although he was retired, he loved working on cars and continued repairing cars for friends and family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Inez Taylor; son, Kenneth Taylor and wife, Ganeene; three granddaughters, Melissa Kittrell, Jessica Taylor, and husband, Tony, and Kendra Dugan, and husband, Brad; two grandsons, Coby Hinkle, and wife, Kyleen, Josh Taylor, and wife, Meredith; three great grand-daughters, Karley Taylor, Cara Hinkle, and Alexi Hinkle; three great grandsons, Dean Dugan, Hudson Taylor, and Kamden Taylor; two sisters, Carolyn Hanneman, and Shirley Taylor; as well as many other family members and friends, including special nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by two daughters, Susan Kittrell, and Deborah Hinkle; a son, William (Little Bill) Taylor; his parents, Ed and Mary Taylor; four brothers, Edward, Bobby, Danny, and Larry; two sisters, Betty, and Judy.
