Trinity Lynn Powers, 12, passed away following an accident Sunday, June 28, 2020. She was born July 31, 2007 in Greenville, Texas, the daughter of Douglas Garrett Powers and Lorrena Mishelle Brown Fox. The family will receive friends at a visitation to take place Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Commerce Middle School Auditorium from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm., Pastor Bryce Jester officiating. A private family burial will take place at South Sulphur Cemetery.
Trinity was set to begin 7th grade at Commerce Middle School in the Fall. The word her mother used to describe her was “firecracker”. She marched to her own drum and always had a smile on her face. Her parents tried putting her in sports one summer, and she flatly refused to participate. She much preferred drawing, painting and listening to music. She also enjoyed anything having to do with the outdoors. Her brother owns four wheelers, which she really loved to ride. She also loved fishing with her father. In March, Trinity made a life changing decision. She received Jesus as her Savior, securing her place in heaven with Him. That is something to be celebrated!
Trinity is survived by her parents, Lorrena and Phillip Fox and Douglas and Marissa Powers; her brothers, Travis Stunkard, Trevor Stunkard and Hunter Powers; her uncles, Randall Brown, II, Daniel Brown, Matthew Irwin and Douglas Williams; her grandparents, Susan and Richard New, Donna Whitney and Randall Brown.
Trinity was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Turner.
