Timmy Ray Pate, 59, was called from this earthly home, May 14, 2022, to begin his eternal life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Timmy was born to Nolan Pate and Liddie (Maye) Golightly Pate in Paris, Texas, on March 16, 1963. He was born the second of four siblings. Timmy was a lifelong resident of Lamar County, recently making his home in Forest Chapel on an old family place.
Timmy was a truck driver, occasional carpenter, and his last place of employment, one he especially enjoyed, was working at Cunningham Steel. He attended North Lamar schools and enjoyed playing football during high school. Timmy was happiest when he was with family and friends. He had a huge, warm, forgiving heart, great humor, and incredible personality that was contagious to everyone that he met. He was also quite the jokester. He loved music and the outdoors, especially lawn work, gardening, fishing, and riding ATVs. Timmy was a great cook and spent a lot of time in the kitchen. He never met a stranger. If he met you once, you were on his friend list forever.
Left to cherish Timmy’s memory are his father, Nolan Ray Pate, and his wife, Ann; sisters, Candy Boswell and her husband, David, and Leta Reaves; children, Jennifer Collar and her husband, Chad, Krissie Pate, Tara Pate, Shelby Pate, and Jacob Pate; eleven grandchildren, a special sister-in-law, DonnaJo Pate; and his fiancé, Paula Larkin; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.
Timmy is preceded in death by his mother, Liddie Maye Pate, his baby brother, Cannon Harold Pate, and special brother-in-law, Danny Wayne Reaves; grandparents, Jessie Ray Pate, Ruby Aline Jordan Pate, and Archel and Oakley Golightly.
