Nelson Alexander Hall, Jr., 70. died at his home on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Lone Oak, Texas. He was born on February 27, 1950 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Nelson Alexander Hall, Sr. and Margaret Moore Hall Mathison.
He attended Mexia High School as part of the class of 1968. For the past year, Nelson had been attending on-line services at McDermott Road Church of Christ, where his daughter attends. He was a motorcycle enthusiast. Earlier in his life, he was a member of the Dallas Gypsy Motorcycle Club. His love of motorcycles continued in the years that followed his association with the club. Nelson was active on eBay, buying and selling many different things. He enjoyed, and was quite accomplished, as a poker player and as a pool player. He was involved in the World Series of Poker and the World Series of Pool, associating with many talented, successful people.
Nelson is survived by his children, Nelson Wayne Hall, Terri Kathryn Young and husband, Brad, and Alexander Massey Hall and Alexander’s future wife, Duyen Nguyen; his grandson Jacob Thomas Allred; siblings, Margaret Hall Meier, and Robert Cummings Hall and wife, Sharon, as well as two nephews.
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Alexander Hall, Sr. and Margaret Moore Hall Mathison and his grandparents, Edgar M. and Velma Ruth Moore.
