Marguerite Marie Trull, 87, of Commerce, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. She was born in Dallas, Texas on October 6, 1933, the daughter of Charles Slaytor Malone and Nannie Puckett Malone. The family will receive friends at a visitation to take place on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Commerce Funeral Home. A funeral will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Commerce Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Ryer officiating. Burial will follow at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell, Texas.
Marguerite attended Seagoville High School. She married the love of her life, Ben Trull on August, 3, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. They enjoyed 43 years together until his death in 2000. Ben and Marguerite eventually moved to Commerce, after living in Tyler for a time. Marguerite worked at ETSU in the housing office for many years before her retirement. She and her family were faithful members of First Baptist Church. She was a very active grandmother; involved in many aspects of her grandchildren’s lives. They spent many hours feeding the ducks at Gee lake and eating out at the cafeteria. Cindy, Marguerite’s daughter-in-law, said Marguerite was everything she could ever wish for in a mother-in-law. Marguerite treated her like a daughter.
Marguerite is survived by her children, Lisa Ordonez, Larry Trull and his wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Jodie Phipps and her husband, Brandon, Larry Trull, Jr., Preston Wells, Tyler Wells and Stephanie Ashley; great grandchildren, Hunter McPherson, Harley Phipps, Holden Phipps, Harper Phipps and Hadlee Phipps; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ben, her parents, Charles and Nannie Malone and a daughter, Diana Trull; siblings, Clifford Malone, Tom Malone, Lela Blunt, Betty Jo Clay and Marvin Malone.
Serving as pallbearers for Marguerite will be Larry Trull, Larry Trull, Jr., Brandon Phipps, Tyler Wells, Chuck Lay and Charles Webster.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Hunter McPherson, Paul Harris and Preston Wells.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to honor Marguerite to First Baptist Church, 1401 Washington St. Commerce, TX 75428.
