M. Lucille Lawwill, 89, of Commerce, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at her home in Commerce. She was born on September 12, 1927 in Bond, Kentucky, the daughter of Leonard Cunagin and Sallie Helen Carmack. Visitation will be on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Commerce Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Commerce Funeral Home with Reverend Kris Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell.
Lucille had been a longtime resident of Commerce. She was very active in her family’s lives. She was interested in knowing what was going on in her grandchildren’s lives. She was interested in knowing the latest trends and styles. Her grandchildren remember her being a very “hands on” grandmother. She was an avid collector. A few of the things she enjoyed collecting were Precious Moments, clocks, dishes and clowns. She especially loved music, so she had an extensive record collection.
Lucille is survived by her children, Jimmy Lawwill and wife, Doris, Sally Lawwill and John Lawwill and wife, Paula; her grandchildren, Judy Williams and husband, Greg, Mike Lawwill and wife, Wendy, Melissa Timberlake, Bob Lawwill, II and wife, Sue, Dawn Elliot and husband, Larry, Cindy Trull and husband, Larry, Raymond Lawwill and wife, Stephanie, John Lawwill, II, Jason Lawwill and wife, Jennifer and Ryan Lawwill and wife, Tanya; 23 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Sallie Cunagin, husband, Harold Lawwill, son, Robert Lawwill, daughter-in-law, Linette Lawwill, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Serving as pallbearers for Lucille are Josh Ferguson, Jacob Ferguson, Larry Trull, Jr., Blaine Lawwill, Cody Lawwill and Travis Mauldin.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are John Lawwill and Melissa Timberlake.
