Mrs. Lovela Moore, 92, of Commerce, passed away Jan. 22, 2012, in Hunt Regional Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the First Baptist Church, Commerce, with Bobby Young and Ronnie Stephenson officiating.

Interment will be in Rosemound Cemetery under the directions of Delta Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.,Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Commerce Funeral Home, 1505 Washington Street.

Mrs. Moore was born Feb. 4, 1919, in the Horton Community of Delta County. She was the daughter of John Sylvester Jimison and Mary Jane Hendrix Jimison. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Commerce where she was a member of Lydia Sunday School Class. She was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir for many years.

She was a wife and mother and lifelong resident of Hunt County.

She married Jessie Harold Moore, Aug. 6, 1935, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 2006.

Survivors include three sons, John E. Moore and his wife Martha of Commerce, Gary Moore wife Beverly of Athens and Richard Moore and wife Wynelle of Waco; two daughters, June Dunn, widow of the late H.A. Dunn and Loyce M. Helton, and husband Les, both of Commerce; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
