Lisa Marie Green, 46, of Campbell, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Commerce, Texas. Lisa was born on September 18, 1971 in La Quemada, Mexico, the daughter of Billy Joe Green, Sr. and Maria Nava Green. A memorial service for Lisa will take place on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Commerce Funeral Home in Commerce, Texas.
Growing up in Campbell, Lisa graduated from Campbell High School in 1991. While attending high school, she was a member of the cheerleading squad. Following high school, Lisa attended East Texas State University for a time, eventually transferring to Eastfield College, where she earned an Associate’s degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. She worked as a caregiver for MHMR until her health challenges caused her to retire. Lisa was baptized and became a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Commerce.
Lisa had a variety of interests that she enjoyed. She was an avid reader and faithfully followed several television shows. She truly enjoyed working with flowers, something she couldn’t do outdoors due to health restrictions. Above all else, Lisa is going to be remembered as someone who was a giver. If anyone had a need, she would do all she could to meet that need. Her free spirit and loving, benevolent heart were her best qualities. She will be missed by many.
Lisa is survived by her son, Joshua Steen; her mother, Maria Green; her siblings, Jane Brookins and husband, Leo, Dayton Green, Billy Green, Jr. and Patricia Wilson and husband, Ron; nephews, Tylan Cooper, Tyler Cooper and Ryan Wilson and niece, Ravin Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe Green, Sr. and her grandmother Aletha Mable Hale.
