Linda Sue Snell, 76, of Commerce, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at her home in Commerce. She was born on September 3, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Melvin James Snell and Mary Frances Wallace Snell.
Linda’s life work revolved around dance. For over 35 years, she owned and operated the Li-Sher Dance Studio in Commerce. Untold children have passed through her studio and have been influenced by her teaching. She was involved in every aspect of the studio. She made costumes for students for countless shows over the years. She loved watching her children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren practice. When Linda wasn’t working, she enjoyed reading, spending time at the beach, traveling and spending time with her family.
Linda is survived her children, Lisa Lawrence, Sherri Wooten and husband, Donnie and Scott Wafford and wife, Ginnette; grandchildren, Amber Sanders and husband, Baret, Kevan Lawrence, Tabatha Wooten, Garrett Wafford and Gillian Wafford; great-grandchildren, Dane Sanders and Dean Sanders; siblings, Fay Rogers and husband, Monte, Joe Snell and wife, Rebecca, and Jeanie Stephens, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Frances and Melvin James Snell, and her sister, Helen Reid.
