Judy Marie Janzen, 76, of Little Elm, passed away following a lengthy illness on Saturday,
January 30, 2021 in Dallas, Texas.
Judy attended high school in Dumas, Texas, graduating with the class of 1963. Following high school, she attended Evangel College, earning her degree in education in 1967. For the next 49 years, she worked making a difference in the lives of countless children. June 29, 1969 was a significant day in Judy’s life. That was the day she married the love of her life, Herman Janzen, in Perryton, Texas. Together, they enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Judy and Herman were members of Covenant Church. Judy also enjoyed camping. Her favorite part was sitting around a campfire at night, enjoying good conversation. She enjoyed the time she and Herm spent reading the bible together. She also enjoyed a good Christian romance novel. Judy’s faith was the most important thing to her.
Judy is survived by her husband, Herman; her daughters, Julie Hungaski and her husband, Steven, and Stephanie Ashlock and her husband, Brandon; grandchildren, Caden Holton, Kaylee Blaschke, Isaac Ashlock, Kaylin Ashlock, Levi Brister, Korynn Hungaski and Kara Hungaski; brothers, Buford Carter and Pete Carter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Corda Carter, brother, Kenneth Carter, sister, Joy Hughes and granddaughter, Dani Blaschke.
