James "Pug" W Moses

James “Pugs” Moses, 56, of Ladonia, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 in Commerce, Texas.  He was born on July 31, 1961 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Earl Moses and Billie Jean Lowery Moses.

Growing up in Dallas, Pugs attended Spruce High School.  He enjoyed anything having to do with the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  He was an avid football fan, enjoying active participation in a fantasy football league with his friends in Dallas.  He enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys as well.  Pugs loved his nieces and nephews as his own children, spoiling them any time he could.  He was an employee of Walmart in Commerce, serving as a Customer Service Manager.

Pugs is survived by his mother, Billie Moses; his siblings, Jeanie McCaugherty and husband, Dennis, Calvin Lee Moses and wife, Debra, Ethel Kay Moses, and Harold Eugene Moses and wife, Tracy as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Travis Moses, his maternal and paternal grandparents, his siblings, Earl Travis Moses, Jr., Joyce Carter and Pamela Scupkin.

Visitation is Tuesday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Commerce Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be on Tuesday, September 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park, 12649 Lake June Road in Mesquite.
