James Earl “Jimmy” Langston of Pecan Gap, Texas passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024 in Commerce, Texas. Jimmy was born January 11, 1939 in California to Curtis and
Margaret Langston, and later graduated from Pecan Gap High School. Jimmy was the father of three children, whom he is survived by: son James Scott Langston, wife Shelly, daughter D’Ann
Wilson, and daughter Amy Rodgers, husband Gary. Jimmy was blessed with five grandchildren: Mackenzie, Hunter, and Madison Langston, and Carl and Charles Wilson. As a lifetime resident
of Pecan Gap, Texas, Jimmy was known to have enjoyed fishing and riding his bicycle. Jimmy’s primary occupation was ranching and factory work. He is preceded in death by his mother and
father, as well as his sister Corinne Langston Shirley. Jimmy is remembered to have always been smiling, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
