Harold Prince, 78, of Commerce, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in Princeton, Texas. He was born on April 3, 1944, in Commerce, the son of Charles Peterson Prince and Maggie Rebecca (Henry) Prince.
Harold was a lifelong resident of Commerce. He attended Commerce High School, a member of the class of 1961. In 1966, he enlisted in the Army, serving in Germany. Following his faithful service, he was honorably discharged in 1972. Harold was self-employed as a carpenter. He truly enjoyed working with his hands. When he was not working, he was an avid fisherman and hunter. On November 23, 1990, Harold married the love of his life, Judy Ann Cooper, in Greenville, Texas. They enjoyed thirty-one years of marriage.
Left to cherish Harold’s memory are his loving wife, Judy; step children, Brian Edwards, Kevin Edwards, Kenneth Edwards, and wife, Renee; grandchildren, Zachrey Edwards and wife, Harley, and Ethan Edwards; great grandchildren, Jonathan L. Edwards, and Rubie Edwards; and siblings, Betty Fouse and Nita Shaver.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Charlie and Maggie Prince; children, Sue Ann Prince, David Jones, and Jonathan P. Edwards; siblings, Alvin Prince, Raymond Prince, Earl Prince, and Calvin Prince.
Serving as pallbearers for Harold are Bill Benson, Ronnie Old, Nita Shaver, Kenneth Edwards, Brian Edwards, and Zachrey Edwards.
