Freddie Lee Cauley

January 4, 1950 — April 30, 2021

Dallas

Freddie Lee Cauley, 71, of Dallas, Texas, died peacefully at his home while surrounded by his family on Friday, April 30, 2021.  He was born on January 4, 1950 in Commerce, Texas, the son of Troy Lee Cauley and Fredna Lakey Cauley.

Freddie attended Garland High School, graduating with the class of 1968.  The majority of his career was spent working for Mary Kay Cosmetics as a manufacturing line mechanic.  He enjoyed the family atmosphere at the company, which Mary Kay herself was careful to cultivate.  He worked for the company over 30 years, his health finally dictating his retirement.  He met the love of his life, Sheila, and they married on September 4, 1999 at Gee lake at what was then East Texas State University (A&M Commerce).  Gee lake had special meaning to both of them, so they were pleased to be able to marry there.  Freddie spent his down time playing on several bowling leagues and being involved in Country Western music, playing bass guitar in bands, as well as listening to his favorite songs.  He had a warm, caring spirit and will be missed by many.

Freddie is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sheila; his children Freddy Cauley, Jr., and Daryl Cauley; grandchildren, Caitlyn Cauley, Shelby Cauley and Emily Cauley; his great granddaughter, Emmary Petri; siblings, Gary Cauley, Randy Cauley, Marilyn Serian and Rena Harvey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Fredna Cauley and his beloved fur baby, Cujo.

Serving as honorary bearers for Freddie are the Class of 1968 and his music buddies.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite animal shelter or rescue organization, or to the Rattan Cemetery Association, c/o Rena Cauley Harvey, 1602 Emerald Bay Lane, St. Paul, Texas 75098.
