Edyce Dickson Kromer

Edyce was born January 26, 1944 in New Castle, PA to Charles Robert and Elizabeth Dickson.  She graduated from Neshannock (nah shan ick) High School and attended Slippery Rock College.  There she met the love of her life, Arthur E. “Bud” Kromer.  They were married on February 5, 1965.  In 1967, they moved to the Dallas area.  There she worked for a small delivery service as dispatcher for 10 years.

While living in the Garland area, she joined Garland Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star.  She served as Worthy Matron in 1976.  When they moved in 1980 to their current property in Campbell, she dualed with Commerce Chapter and served at Worthy Matron twice.  She then joined Sulphur Bluff Chapter and was honored in 2022 at a 50-year member.

After moving to Campbell, she attended East Texas State University and graduated in 1986 with a BS degree.  She went to work for Texas Agricultural Statistic Service.  She worked for them for 20 years, with 16 years as supervisor of 13 north Texas counties.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.  She is survived by a sister, Susan Dickson (Scott Manker), a sister-in-law, Mary Kromer Picchi (pee key) and her Texas sister and brother Rita and Weldon Erwin.
