Dorothy “Do” Jean Rose Heitholt
Born in Barry, Illinois on April 29th, 1933. She passed away Dec 17, 2015 at the age of 82. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill Heitholt, her son Jim and his wife Debby Ohsiek Heitholt, daughter-in-law Deborah Evangelista, grandchildren Vincent and Kali Heitholt, Jason Schmidlen, Nikki Clay, twin great-grandchildren Makayla and Makenzie Schmidlen, and two sisters, Majorie Hageman and Ruth Lohr.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Kent William Heitholt, deceased November 1, 2001, and also her parents, Jim and Dorothy Rose.
Dorothy was in the charter graduating class at University of Missouri, St. Louis (BS, Political Science), earned a second BS in Accounting from Maryville College in St. Louis, MO. She also earned her MBA from Lindenwood College in St. Charles, MO.
She taught elementary grades in the Parkway School System in Chesterfield, MO and later worked for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in St. Louis, MO and Angleton, TX, and at Keystone Valve Company in Houston, TX. She finished her work (career) at Wallis Oil Company in Cuba, MO. She retired in 2007.
Dorothy and Bill moved to Commerce, Texas area to be near their son Jim and his wife Debby. Dorothy was a member of First United Methodist Church in Commerce, TX with her husband Bill.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association for residents of Hunt County, Texas.
A private memorial service will be held at an undecided date in early 2016.
