Delbert Ronel Saulters, 88, of Commerce passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, in Commerce.
He was born Dec. 14, 1926, in Kemp, Texas, the son of Jess C. Saulters and Lacormie Lester Moorhead Saulters.
His funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. at Commerce Funeral Home. Rev. Joel Shelton will officiate. Burial will follow immediately at Shiloh Cemetery in Klondike.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the funeral home.
Delbert served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music and working jigsaw puzzles.
Delbert is survived by his children, Don Saulters and wife, Beverly, Bobby Saulters, Norma McVay and husband Andy, and Linda Daggs; grandchildren David Saulters, Shelby Adams, Michael Saulters, Cary Scott, Nicole Austin, Adam McVay, Brandy Addicks Cagle, Matthew Daggs, Joshua Daggs, and Jacob Daggs; a brother, Aubry Prestridge; and a brother-in-law, Edward Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Lacormie Saulters; his wife of 67 years, Betty; and siblings H.B. Saulters, Jessie Saulters, Ruth Bowman, and Billie Barnett.
Serving as pallbearers for Delbert are Michael Saulters, David Saulters, Adam McVay, Jason Austin, Derrick Scott, and Jacob Daggs.
