Clyde Marion Spurlock

Clyde Marion Spurlock, a 44 year resident of Commerce, passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.  He was born on January 25, 1954 to James Clifton Spurlock and Clyde Mercedes Keller.

Marion graduated from Commerce High School with the class of 1973 and went on to enjoy an 18 year career with L3 Harris.  Marion met the love of his life, Rhonda Spradling, and they married on March 2, 1973 in Kingston, TX.  Out of that union were born Micheal Spurlock and Adam Spurlock.

Marion had many hobbies and interests, including serving as a long-time member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Greenville, being a member of Joyful Sound, being a song leader at several churches, playing Sudoku, fishing, and squirrel hunting.  But most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.

Waiting to greet Marion in Heaven are his wife, Rhonda Spurlock; his father and mother; siblings Faye Campbell, Maye Brooks, James Clifton Spurlock, Lorene Ellis, Wanda Dickson, Jerry Spurlock, and Jimmy Dale Spurlock.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael Spurlock (Summer), and Adam Spurlock (Keely); grandchildren Damon Spurlock, Jacob Spurlock, and Rowan Spurlock; a sister, Patricia Ann Vance, and a sister-in-law, Teresa Garcia.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are John Tandy, Mark Sampson, and Shane Sampson.

Serving as Pallbearers are Big John Weatherford, Gary Nichols, B. J. Spurlock, James Vance, John Michael Tandy, and Damon Spurlock.
