Funeral services for Betty Jane Saulters, age 86, of Commerce, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Commerce Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Joel Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Klondike, with Jacob Daggs, Mathew Daggs, Derrick Scott, Michael Saulters, Adam McVay, David Saulters, and Jason Austin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Josh Daggs. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 10, 2012 at Commerce Funeral Home. Mrs. Saulters passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Hunt Memorial Hospital in Greenville with her loving family at her side. Betty was born August 8, 1926 in Hallsville, TX, the daughter of Elijah Vinkler Moore and Josephine Netherland. She married her husband, Delbert Ronal Saulters, in Kemp, TX, March 3, 1945, he survives. Betty was retired from many years of service with Rockwell International. Betty and Delbert lived in Garland, TX, for over 20 years where she dedicated most of her time raising her four children and enjoying the gift of being a full time loving mother and grandmother. She had great passion for family gatherings and will be a lifelong legend to all her family for her art in making black-eyed peas for the holidays. Betty loved her family unconditionally, especially devoted her love to her grandbabies, and professed her love strongly for Christ. She was a dedicated member of Commerce Church of Christ and was proud of her Christian faith. Miraculously, Betty was a two time survivor of breast cancer. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Donald Ray Saulters and wife Beverly of Caddo Mills, Bobby Glynn Saulters of Commerce, daughters, Norma Jean McVay and husband Andrew of Garland and Linda Kay Daggs of Commerce. She is also survived by her brother Edward Moore and wife Ruth Ann of San Antonio, grandchildren, David Saulters, Shelby Adams, Michael Saulters, Cary Scott, Nicole Austin, Adam McVay, Brandy Addicks, Mathew Daggs, Jacob Daggs, Joshua Daggs, and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her child, Jessie Saulters, her sisters, Dovey Tidwell and Josephine Gillespie. Betty was a special woman and will always be remembered by her loving family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Commerce Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
